Description: This is a unit of study that focuses on the stages of the water cycle. During this unit, students will explore evaporation and sublimation, condensation, precipitation, and runoff through a variety of experiments and hands on activities. Due to the nature of inquiry, the majority of student work will be done in the Science Notebook, specifically during experiments for which a narrative was given.
Lesson Objective
5.1.C Create and complete, with explanation, a diagram showing the process of the water cycle.
5.2.E Construct a water table and investigate the path water takes. Draw conclusions from the results.
5.2.E Create, illustrate, and label the different forms water can take when processing through the water cycle. (snow, rain,sleet, fog, cloud, and dew)
